Website Development Objectives
Websites often put the user on information overload. Rather than sort through all of the choices they have, most web visitors just leave and find a site that is simpler and gives them what they want right away. Web visitors don’t want to be overwhelmed with calls to action (anything you ask them to do, including clicking on a link, is a call to action). DogByte's development mission is simple. Don’t confuse them. Make it easy; guide them to exactly what they want.
When arriving to your site , the web visitor should see:
- A compelling benefit-oriented Unique Selling Position (USP).
- A few links to your most important pages (called “money pages,” “profit pages,” “winners,” “key sales pages”) – which basically means any page that converts a visitor into a lead or a customer for you.
- Some text that tells them about your product or service and how they can quickly and easily get it – in other words, compelling text (and don’t forget keyword rich too if your doing SEO!)
- A testimonial page that supports who you are, what you do, your history, etc., can go further down the website page. They are still vital to your websit and deserve space on your homepage, just not above the fold.
We start with the strategy and direction of your business objectives and finish with a beautiful, intuitive and first-class website. From the ground up, or from existing platforms we produce high quality and successful websites that meet the pace of your business.
To better understand your objectives, we discuss and review the site requirements with the client:
- How does web site fit into the business?
- Who are you main competitors?
- What is the goal of Search Engine Marketing efforts?
- How many people or departments publish content on your current site?
- What are the main business issues relevant to web traffic?
- The purpose of Entry and Landing pages.
- What are clients’ expectations of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
- Any SEO prior to this project? What was result? Why?
- Keywords - How many pages are there to optimize?
Our success can be attributed to the approach we take in designing your website. From design to delivery, our easy process delivers results and we divide it into the 4 areas below:
- The look and feel. This is the graphics and visual pull that promotes your brand and extends your traditional AD campaigns to your web visitors. Navigation, buttons, and colors are all considered to ensure each page has purpose.
- The content. This covers all text, images, movies, AD campaigns and sales copy. This content is provided by the client, their ad agency or DogByte’s has a full range of services to cover any part of the content creation.
- Programs and Features. Utilities, Interfaces and features needed to have the website perform its stated objective. From photo galleries, to RSS feeds, Streaming video to Blogs, we have many ready to go “modules” we can add to your site. Most are free. Some are not. Ask us about any of our modules and we can talk about how it might enhance your customer’s web experience.
- Administration. We identify the administrative tasks and required skill sets needed by your in-house staff to maintain your new website. Our DogByte’s Site Manager enables your in-house website administrator to create additional new pages of content, send subscriber emails or announcements, add discussion Blogs, add an event calendar, update FAQ entries, add feedback forms, and even set up banner advertising and customize the site’s seasonal appearance. The DogByte’s Site Manager even allows the administrator to add new staff logins, create web user membership and administrative roles, and define secure sections for registered site users only.
